Candidates who have completed their BE/BTech degree with a valid score in GATE are eligible for MTech degree course. Candidates who have completed a 5-year program in Science or Applied Sciences resulting in the award of a Master of Science degree are also eligible for Master of Engineering course
Admission Process
The procedure for admission to MTech courses is almost the same across all top engineering colleges. Since most of the colleges admit students on the basis of marks scored in GATE, the syllabus as well as the pattern is also very similar and candidates must be prepared in order to secure a seat in colleges.
Description
MTech is a two year post graduate program. The ME/MTech degree is available in many disciplines in India. Civil engineering, computer science and engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, VLSI, mechanical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, etc. are some of these disciplines. This degree is based in a specific field of engineering. MTech Admissions into top colleges is done through scores of entrance exam.
GATE is the national level entrance exam conducted for the MTech programme. The minimal requirement for graduation is a BE/BTech or BSc degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum cumulative GPA of 50%. For admission to MTech programs, students must sit for national- and university-level exams like OJEE, GATE, UPSEE, TANCET, etc.
